LINDA ELLIOTT
After a successful career, primarily in marketing positions, Linda Elliott founded Elliott Connection, LLC in 1999, a company specializing in developing profitable connections. She becomes a high-level, strategic partner identifying qualified prospects for her clients and facilitates the meeting process. She concentrates on helping to develop business alliance relationships. Given her active role in the community, she is able to assist her clients in becoming more involved, in order to elevate awareness of their businesses. Her expertise lies in positioning companies in the Greater San Antonio marketplace.
A native of El Paso, Linda moved to San Antonio in 1984. She has been very involved in both business and the community. Linda has served on 20 professional, civic and charitable boards in San Antonio. Currently, she serves on the Board of the University Health System Foundation. She’s also an active member of the Oakes Club and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) where she has served in multiple capacities including President. Some of Linda’s past affiliations include Board of Directors of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce (12 years), Arts San Antonio, American Diabetes Association San Antonio Chapter, ADA TX Affiliate, San Antonio Festival, Texas Business Hall of Fame, Junior League, Girl Scouts of America Nominating Board, SATAI, United Way, San Antonio Youth Literacy Advisory Board, NAIOP, and she served as the San Antonio delegate appointed by then Mayor Henry Cisneros to Future of South Texas Conference. Linda has been recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal as a business matchmaker, SA Biz Journal article. In the September/October 2012 issue of San Antonio Woman Magazine, Linda is featured as the Business Woman Spotlight (click here to see the article). She has also been featured in numerous other print media. She has been selected as a finalist two times for the Athena Award sponsored by the North Chamber and has received various other distinctions throughout the course of her career. Most notably, Linda was the recipient for the 2010 Entrepreneurial Spirit Award for Mentorship by the National Association of Women Business Owners. On a personal and spiritual note, she serves as a Stephen Minister at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. This is her way of sharing her deep-rooted faith with women who are hurting and needing someone to listen and care. Additionally, Linda created, manages and facilitates a unique members-only group called the Healthcare Think Tank. Membership consists of a diverse group of professionals who do business in the healthcare industry, but are primarily not providers. There are monthly meetings featuring presenters to discuss various topics of interest in the healthcare industry.
Melissa Murray
As Healthcare Think Tank’s website coordinator and executive assistant to Linda Elliott, Melissa Murray oversees much of the technological side of Elliott Connection and Healthcare Think Tank. She excels in coordinating and organizing healthcare related content. She is a former court reporter with over 12 years of experience in that field. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, kickboxing and spending time with her family.
